Allya Taylor Joy was born on April 16 1997 in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor was a banker in the past. Jennifer Marina Joy worked as a psychotherapist. The father of her is Argentine with Scottish as well as English heritage. She is Spanish and has English roots. The four siblings of Taylor-Joy are from her father's former marriage. Family was within Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy was 6 years old, then moved to Victoria district in London. According to Taylor-Joy, the move was traumatic and she was unable to study English in the hopes of moving back to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she needed to go to after she left Northlands. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School to study dance and perform in school productions. When she was 16 she quit school to make a career of acting. At a very young age, Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to become an actress and her dreams came true when she was given the opportunity to model Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
